Dr. Daniel J. DeBehnke named Chief Clinical Integration Officer
Sept. 21, 2011 College News - Daniel J. DeBehnke, MD, Professor of Emergency Medicine and Associate Chief Medical Officer of the Medical College Physicians Group, has been named the Chief Clinical Integration Officer at The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW).
The Chief Clinical Integration Officer will be instrumental in shaping relationships among MCW, Froedtert Health and other eastern Wisconsin health system partners to develop a regional integrated health care delivery model to ensure the highest levels of patient care. As a member of the MCW leadership team, Dr. DeBehnke will partner with clinical and administrative leaders of the Medical College Physicians Group, Children’s Specialty Group, the Clinical Ventures Group and Froedtert Health.
Dr. DeBehnke received his MD from The University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988. He joined the Medical College faculty in 1991 as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine. Dr. DeBehnke currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine as well as the senior medical director of hospital services at Froedtert Hospital. Dr. DeBehnke will relinquish these additional roles when he assumes the Chief Clinical Integration Officer position.

Dr. DeBehnke’s appointment is effective Oct. 1.
