Jan. 25, 2013 College News - Jeffrey Miller, DNP, APNP, in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, was recently appointed by Gov. Scott Walker to the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing. He began serving on the board in September.
The Board of Nursing in Wisconsin is made up of nine members, including LPNs, RNs and public members, and regulates the practice of nursing, as defined by Wisconsin state laws. The Board of Nursing (BN) is also responsible for implementation and enforcement of the Nursing Practice Act, as well as other local and federal laws. These include laws related to nursing education, licensure, practice, and discipline.
