Jan. 30, 2013 College News - Kenneth B. Simons, MD, Professor of Ophthalmology and Pathology, Interim Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Executive Director and Designated Institutional Official of Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals (MCWAH), and Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education and Accreditation, has been named Vice-Chair of the 13-member Wisconsin Medical Examining Board (MEB). It is a one-year term.
The Medical Examining Board oversees the rule-making, credentialing, accreditation, examination and regulation of health care providers in the State of Wisconsin. Members of the MEB are appointed by the Governor and approved by the Wisconsin State Senate.
