Dr. L. Kevin Hamberger reappointed to the Governor’s Council on Domestic Abuse
Mar. 13, 2014 College News - L. Kevin Hamberger, PhD, Professor of Family and Community Medicine, has been appointed to the Governor’s Council on Domestic Abuse for his 10th two-year term.
The purpose of the Council is to advise the Governor and the legislature on all matters pertaining to intimate partner violence, including potential legislation, policy matters and funding as they may impact services to and safety of victims and their children, and initiatives to prevent and end intimate partner violence.
With his recent appointment by Gov. Walker, Dr. Hamberger has served under four different governors dating back to 1994.
