Dr. Mitchell Grayson named to NIAID study section

Nov. 06, 2013 College News - Mitchell Grayson, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine, Pediatrics (Allergy/ Immunology), and Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, has been selected to be a member of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Allergy, Immunology, and Transplantation Research study section for a four year term ending in 2017.

The committee serves in an advisory capacity to the NIH Director and the NIAID Director for the institute’s programs and activities and is composed of seventeen scientists representing institutions across the United States.  The AITC study section conducts reviews of career development award (K) and institutional research training grant (T32) applications and contract proposals of the special research program in the broad areas of allergic and immunologic disease, immunobiology, immunogenetics, immune pathology, immunochemistry, and transplantation biology.
