Dr. Neil Hogg appointed Interim Assistant Dean of Postdoctoral Education
Jan. 06, 2014 College News - Neil Hogg, PhD, Professor of Biophysics and Assistant Dean of Students in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, has been appointed Interim Assistant Dean of Postdoctoral Education by Ravi P. Misra, PhD, Dean of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
The Assistant Dean for Postdoctoral Education serves as an advocate and resource for MCW postdoctoral researchers, to complement and support the excellent research training by MCW faculty mentors. Dr. Hogg will remain a member of the Biophysics faculty and Director of the MCW Redox Biology Program, where he has led the effort to grow and enhance MCW’s research effort in free radical and oxidative biology.
As Interim Assistant Dean of Postdoctoral Education, Dr. Hogg will continue the work of Phil Clifford, PhD, who established the Office of Postdoctoral Education in the Graduate School and served as Associate Dean from 2001-2013. A formal search will be initiated in early 2014 to permanently fill the position.
