Dr. Richard J. Davidson to headline Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation event
March 27, 2013 College News - Richard J. Davidson, PhD, founder of the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds, will be the guest speaker at the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation annual fundraising dinner on April 12. He will give a presentation titled, Change Your Mind: Exploring the Science of Emotions. The event will be held at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.
Named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine in 2006, Dr. Davidson is a psychology and psychiatry professor at the University of Wisconsin’s Waisman Center. His most recent book, The Emotional Life of Your Brain, describes six distinct emotional dimensions, which emerged from his research on affective neuroscience.
