October 30, 2013 College News - As part of the Zoo Interchange Project, key ramp closures will take place at the WIS 100 interchange beginning in late October.

On the evening of October 30, the I-94 westbound exit ramp to northbound WIS 100 will be closing until late 2014. During the closure, motorists are advised to use I-94 West to US-45 North to the Bluemound Road/ Wisconsin Avenue exit and use Bluemound Road or Wisconsin Avenue to access WIS 100.

Also, two left turn movements in the interchange will be closing on the evening of October 30. There will be no left turn available from the eastbound exit ramp to travel north on WIS 100 as well as no left turn onto the entrance ramp to travel east on I-94.

Additional ramp closures are anticipated to take place as early as mid-November. These ramp closures would include the WIS 100 entrance ramp to I-94 East as well as the I-94 West exit ramp to southbound WIS 100. Additional information regarding closure dates and alternate routes will be distributed.

Beginning Nov. 1, Hank Aaron State Trail closure

As part of the construction of the Zoo Interchange, the Hank Aaron State Trail (HAST) will be closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic from 94th Place to the Oak Leaf Trail beginning Nov.  1.

Numerous construction efforts will take place around the trail, including the construction of a number of bridge structures over the trail. As a result, this segment of the HAST will be closed until late 2017. Trail users should follow the posted detour signs while on the trail to get around the closure.
