Future of community engaged research and Clinical and Translational Science Institute to be discussed at Dec. 13 event

Dec. 05, 2013 College News - As part of the Community Engagement Key Function of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin’s (CTSI) “Principles of Community Engagement” course, we will present the session, The Future of Community Engaged Research and Clinical and Translational Science Institute, on Friday, Dec. 13, from 12-1 p.m. in the MCW Alumni Center.

During the session, a panel will present thoughts, ideas and generate dialogue about what the future may look like regarding translational science and community engagement. CME credit is available for this event. Objectives of the session include:

  • Define key principles within community engaged research (CEnR)
     
  • Demonstrate an understanding of common benefits and challenges in CEnR
     
  • Understand the integration of CTSI and CEnR to advance biomedical research relevant to the community.

The program is free and open to the public, and lunch will be provided, but registration is required. Additional information and registration forms are available on the CTSI Webpage.
