Oct. 04, 2012 College News - The Institute for Health and Society has launched an improved and interactive Health Equity and Urban Clinical Care Partnerships Website. The updated site includes links to research data, news publications, and local, statewide, and national data on racial health disparities.
The Health Equity and Urban Clinical Care Partnerships Division was established in July 2010 in the Medical College of Wisconsin's (MCW) Institute for Health and Society. Directed by Earnestine Willis, MD, MPH, Kellner Professor in Pediatrics, the division aims to improve health and advance health equity through community and academic partnerships that offer health education, recognize the linkages to social determinants of health and improve access to health care.
The website also will feature community events, successful partnerships, links to quizzes related to health equity, and local achievements and acknowledgements. People can also sign up for the eHealth Equity Alert system on the website and receive free, accurate health equity related news, research, and event announcements.
