Invitation to the Research "Lunch and Learn" Series

This memo is from Joseph E. Kerschner, MD, Dean of the Medical School and Executive Vice President

May 15, 2014 College News - As I mentioned in the Monday Morning Coffee with the Dean on May 5, we are sharing White Papers from nine Research Focus Areas through a series of Open Forums (Lunch and Learns) to garner input and perspectives from a wide range of MCW faculty, staff and students.

The focus areas were determined during MCW leadership retreats in late 2012 as opportunities to differentiate MCW and establish the institution as a market or disciplinary leader in that field through an organized scientific approach for addressing complex, interdisciplinary problems.  Each focus area blends clinical activity with basic and/or translational research, and is designed to consider the full continuum of research and healthcare, from bench research to bedside care.  Through the development of Research Focus Areas, we are demonstrating the value of our current and/or future research programs to improving the health of communities.

We invite you to join us at upcoming Lunch and Learns at which the White Papers will be presented, as noted below.  Beverages will be provided at each session.
