Sept. 27, 2012 College News - Julie A. Peay, MRI Program Manager I in Biophysics, received the Honorary Member Award from the International Society for Magnetic Resonance (MR) in Medicine’s Section for Magnetic Resonance Technologists (SMRT). The award was presented at the society’s annual meeting.
The award is given to recognize extraordinary achievement and an exceptional level of service and support for the section and mission of SMRT.
Peay, a registered radiologic technologist with advanced certification in magnetic resonance (MR), is responsible for MR safety and training at MCW. She helped launch the College’s MR safety training program several years ago and has been asked to speak about MR safety and training at meetings around the world. In 2006, she received the SMRT Distinguished Service Award.
