Lane closures around campus during the week of March 18

March 15, 2013 College News - Below is a list of lane closures around campus the week of March 18, 2013. All road work is subject to change because of weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

All routes to Milwaukee Regional Medical Center remain open the week of March 18.  Keep your eyes open for lanes shifts on Highway 100 and Watertown Plank Road that will be in effect before the Monday morning rush begins.  The new traffic patterns will be in effect until early April. Two lanes of travel will remain open for travel on Watertown Plank road and on HWY 100.

From the North:

  • No restrictions in effect.

From the South:

  • The traffic pattern on Hwy 100 switches to the right to allow for left lane and median closures from I94 to Watertown Plank Road.  Two lanes of traffic will remain open but pay close attention to lane changes.  The traffic pattern will remain in effect until early April. 

From the East:

  • No restrictions in effect.

From the West:

  • The left lane of Watertown Plank Road will be closed from the railroad to Innovation Drive beginning Monday, March 18, until early/mid April.  Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times.

Research Park staff:

  • Throughout the week, a lane will be closed on Research Drive at the Hwy 100 entrance for utility work. Work will begin after 9am.
  • Research Drive will be closed at HWY 100 from 8pm Friday evening (3/22) until Monday morning for storm sewer work.  Research Park traffic will be directed to use the Innovation Dr and Watertown Plank Rd entrance.

Tosa Center:

  • Both entrances from Watertown Plank Road and Mayfair Road are open and accessible. 
  • Pay close attention to the traffic pattern on Hwy 100 from I94 to Watertown Plank Road.  Lanes have switched to the right to allow for left lane and median closures.  The traffic pattern will remain in effect until early April.  Two lanes of traffic will remain open.

Greenfield Avenue Area:

  • The westbound Greenfield Ave entrance ramp to I-894/US45 north bound will close by 5am on Monday, March 18th through late summer for overhead sign installation.

A Look-Ahead:

Early-April: Traffic on Watertown Plank Road will shift to bi-directional traffic with all traffic located on the south side of the roadway.  Two lanes will remain open in each direction from Innovation eastbound to Hwy 45. 

Mid-April: Watertown Plank Road will close east of the HWY 100 intersection over a weekend to install water/sewer. Dates TBD.
