Mary Horowitz, MD, MS receives 2014 ASBMT Lifetime Achievement Award
Mar. 05, 2014 College News - By virtue of a unanimous decision from the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT) Executive Committee, Mary Horowitz, MD, MS, was presented with the 2014 ASBMT Lifetime Achievement Award during the ASBMT Awards and Business Meeting on Feb. 28, 2014. Dr. Horowitz is the Robert A. Uihlein, Jr. Chair in Hematologic Research, Professor of Medicine and Chief of Hematology and Oncology. She serves as Chief Scientific Director of the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR).
The award recognizes her ongoing involvement and support of the BMT community, in particular, her past, current and future stewardship of the CIBMTR and the CTN (Clinical Trials Network). The award was presented by C. Fred LeMaistre, MD, President of the ASBMT.
