Medical students to take on MU dental students Aug. 3 in annual softball game
July 29, 2013 College News - Medical College of Wisconsin medical students will compete against dental students from the Marquette University School of Dentistry at the seventh annual "Thriller at Miller" on Saturday, Aug. 3. The game will be played at Helfaer Field, adjacent to Miller Park, beginning at 3:15 p.m.
MCW’s American Geriatrics Society student chapter will sponsor the Medical College’s team in the competition for the coveted Caduceus Cup, currently in Marquette's possession. Other activities include a tailgate, a seniors vs. students softball game, mascot games and contests, a bean bag tournament, and a performance by Seniorgee - a local dance troupe composed of senior citizens. Festivities will commence at 11:30 a.m. in the Helfaer Field area.
Tickets for the Thriller at Miller events are $5 and can be purchased at Helfaer Field. Brewers tickets are also available for $20. Proceeds from the ticket sales benefit geriatrics education at MCW and elsewhere in the community.
