Moorland Reserve Health Center to open for patients Oct. 7; open house planned for Oct. 5
Oct. 02, 2013 College News - The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Moorland Reserve Health Center, 4805 S. Moorland Road in New Berlin, opens to patients on Oct. 7. There will be an open house on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for staff, faculty and the public. The event will include the opportunity to meet the physicians, tour the facility and learn about the services being offered. There also will be a corn roast and baked potatoes available.
The Moorland Reserve Health Center is approximately 138,000 square feet and will provide primary and specialty care as well as lab, cardiac testing, radiology and urgent care services. The site is part of a 48-acre parcel where Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin opened a new pediatric outpatient clinic in 2009.
The facility will house internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology and urgent care clinics as well as a variety of specialty clinics and services. Planned specialty service offerings include cardiology and cardiac testing, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, dermatology, otolaryngology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, psychology/psychiatry, rheumatology, general surgery, pulmonary, audiology/hearing aid services, pharmacy, endocrinology, gastroenterology and related diagnostics, infusion, nephrology, neurology, orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery and urology.
Medical oncology services will be provided through Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network, offering a convenient option for patients to receive chemotherapy and other infused treatments.
