Nurses honored during National Nurses Week

May 06, 2013 College News - National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, which is National Nurses Day, through May 12, which is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.  It is the perfect time to celebrate the contributions of the College’s 388 registered nurses (RNs).

RNs support all of the missions of the College – patient care, education, research and community engagement. Of the College’s 388 nurses, 237 are advanced practice providers who work as clinical nurse specialists, nurse midwives, and nurse practitioners. We have nurses who work in urgent care, critical care, supervisory roles, research, and utilization management.

MCW nurses work at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, and off-site clinics.
