On Father’s Day weekend, ugly ties lead to beautiful donations at the WBCS Showhouse for a Cure
June 07, 2013 College News - Celebrate Father’s Day weekend and the final days of the 2013 WBCS Showhouse for a Cure by turning your ugliest tie into support for prostate cancer research at MCW.
Harleys: The Store for Men, will give WBCS $5 for every tie collected by Showhouse volunteers between Friday, June 14, and Sunday, June 16. Participants will also be entered in a special raffle for Milwaukee Brewers' tickets.
The stunning 2013 Showhouse for a Cure is located at 2228 E Newberry Boulevard, Milwaukee. On June 14, the home will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on June 15 and 16, it will be open from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. The 21 rooms, each decorated by one of the area’s top interior designers, provide a look at the latest design trends and offer inspirational home decorating ideas.
Tickets are $25 at the door or $20 in advance if purchased on the Showhouse Website or at Showhouse ticket outlets. To date, WBCS has contributed more than $4.75 million for breast cancer and prostate cancer research at the MCW Cancer Center and to support the WBCS Breast Cancer Research Professorship endowment.
