“On Target for a Cure” trap shoot to benefit Medical College Cancer Center
April 29, 2014 College News - The Southeastern Rod and Gun Club will host a trap shooting event on Saturday, June 7, at the Southeastern Rod and Gun Club in East Troy. Proceeds will benefit cancer research at the MCW Cancer Center.
The event will consist of five-man teams, each shooting two rounds of American Trap (50 targets at 16 yards, one shot per target). Trophies will be awarded for the top three team scores.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., and team shoots will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The registration fee of $250 per team or $50 per person also includes lunch, a silent auction, and door prizes. In addition, each participant will receive a specially-designed event shirt.
This event is held in memory of Walter Pladies, former member of the Southeastern Rod and Gun Club, who lost his battle with cancer in 2008. This is the first year that MCW has been the recipient of this fundraising event.
