Ramp closures on Oct. 12, Harwood Avenue construction to impact travel
Oct. 10, 2013 College News - Beginning Saturday, Oct. 12, there are several ramp closures that will impact the MCW community. MCW faculty, students and staff are encouraged to plan ahead for the following changes:
The on-ramp from Watertown Plank Road to northbound Hwy 45 will be closed, and will remain closed through2014. Alternate routes to enter US-45 Northbound: Wisconsin Avenue west to US45 north, or Watertown Plank Road west to Hwy 100 north to the North Avenue on-ramp to US-45 north.

The 84th Street entrance ramps to I-94 eastbound and westbound will be closed and will remain closed until fall 2014.
Alternate routes to access eastbound I-94: Wisconsin Avenue east to 68th Street south to the I-94 eastbound ramp.
Alternate routes to access westbound I-94:Wisconsin Avenue west to US45 southbound ramp. Take US45 south to the I-94 westbound ramp.

The Milwaukee Regional Medical Center and campus organizations are working with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to communicate these ramp closures to the general public and to patients, emergency responders, public transportation carriers, and vendors.
Also note: the City of Wauwatosa’s water main work began on Oct. 2 and will continue through early/mid-November. Harwood Avenue between Glenview Avenue and Dewey Avenue is reduced to one lane in each direction, and delays are being experienced. Please consider an alternative route if traveling through downtown Wauwatosa.
