Registrations open for July 21 WBCS Tee Up for a Cure Golf Outing
June 24, 2014 College News - The 16th annual WBCS Tee Up for a Cure© Golf Outing, presented by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Kathy Duffey Fogarty Fund, will take place on Monday, July 21, at the Blue Mound Golf and Country Club in Wauwatosa.
Registration is $1,600 for a foursome or $400 for a single golfer ($200 of the $400 cost is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law). The registration includes lunch, greens fees, cart, driving range, putting green, locker, gifts and the evening reception. For $125 ($75 is tax-deductible as permitted by law), non-golfers can join the evening reception that begins around 5:30 p.m.
WBCS has donated more than $5.1 million to breast cancer and prostate cancer research at the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center and to support the WBCS Professor of Breast Cancer Research. Promising breast cancer and prostate cancer research by past WBCS grant recipients has led to over $37.6 million in additional competitive extramural research grants to MCW by the National Institutes of Health and other foundations.
The Golf Outing is held in memory of Kathy Duffey Fogarty, who lost her battle with breast cancer 17 years ago.
