Aug. 28, 2012 College News - Michael Malone, MD, Professor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health; Medical Director of Aurora Senior Services and Aurora Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin; and Director of the Aurora Health Care Geriatrics Fellowship Program, will give the 15th annual Daniel Rudman, MD Memorial Lecture on Friday, Sept. 14. His Department of Medicine Grand Rounds presentation, When an Older Person is Admitted to an American Hospital, will be delivered at 8 a.m. in Froedtert Hospital’s Helfaer Auditorium.
There will also be a “Meet & Greet" with Dr. Malone outside of Helfaer Auditorium immediately following Grand Rounds.
The Daniel Rudman, MD Memorial Lecture was created to honor Dr. Daniel Rudman’s life and creativity as a clinical investigator and highlight his ability to focus basic knowledge on important problems in clinical medicine. Dr. Rudman joined the College in 1988 as Professor and Associate Chief of Staff for Geriatrics and Extended Care at the Zablocki VA Medical Center and continued his endocrine, metabolism, and human nutrition research with the elderly until his untimely death in 1994.
