STAR Center to offer tours to public on June 22 as part of Windows into Wauwatosa event

June 14, 2013 College News - The Medical College of Wisconsin STAR Center is participating in the Windows into Wauwatosa (PDF) event on Saturday, June 22, and will be offering free tours to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The STAR Center uses different types of simulation to teach future doctors the skills they need to practice the art of Medicine. STAR Center simulation experiences range from patient actors to specific body part task trainers to full-body robotic mannequins that breathe, blink, and talk in the simulated Operating Room, Emergency Room or Birthing Suite.

Windows into Wauwatosa is sponsored by the Neighborhood Association Council of Wauwatosa and is a free event allowing visitors to take behind the scenes tours at more than 20 locations around Wauwatosa.  For site listings and more event information, search for Windows into Wauwatosa on Facebook.
