Event to honor 10th anniversary of the AHW endowment
April 14, 2014 College News - The Medical College of Wisconsin is hosting an event on Thursday, May 8, to honor the 10th anniversary of the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin (AHW) endowment. Looking Back, Moving Forward runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sheraton Milwaukee Hotel, 375 S. Moorland Road in Brookfield.
Event participants will:
Discover what AHW funded projects have accomplished and what we have learned during 10 years of funding
Learn what is working in community health improvement, research and education
Collaborate during networking opportunities with a diverse community of nonprofit and public health leaders and MCW faculty, staff and students
Ignite the spark for big ideas through new session formats
Learn more about the AHW 2014-2018 Five-Year Plan, Moving from Grantmaker to Changemaker.
The keynote speaker is Roberta B. Ness, MD, MPH, Dean of the University of Texas School of Public Health, M. David Low Chair in Public Health and Vice President for Innovation. Dr. Ness is an internationally recognized expert in medicine and public health.
