Strikes for Hope Charity Bowling Tournament on Jan. 18 to benefit MCW Cancer Center
Jan. 03, 2014 College News - The sixth annual Strikes for Hope Charity Bowling Tournament will be held Saturday, Jan. 18, at the Classic Lanes in Menomonee Falls. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center for cancer research. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Jan. 8.
The entry fee is $10 per person, which covers three games of bowling, shoe rental and a tee shirt. In addition, each bowler is asked to raise a minimum of $25 in donations. Bowlers can choose to start at 11 a.m. or 3 p.m. Bowlers of all ages and all skill levels are welcome to participate. Prizes will be given to the team that raises the most money as well as to the best bowling scores. There also will be opportunities to bid on raffle items.
Since 2009, brothers Brian and David Ellenbecker have raised nearly $70,000 for research at the MCW Cancer Center through this event and other fundraising activities.
