Jan. 09, 2013 College News - The Medical College of Wisconsin invites faculty, staff, students, community stakeholders and the broader public to provide suggestions and input on the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin (AHW) 2014-2018 Five-Year Plan. The online public input survey takes approximately five minutes to complete and can be accessed through AHW’s Five-Year Plan Web page.
“People who contribute to informing this plan can make a difference,” said Cheryl Maurana, PhD, Vice President for Strategic Outreach and Director of Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin, “by helping shape the best possible roadmap towards improved health for Wisconsin residents.”
The AHW endowment was created by funds generated from Blue Cross & Blue Shield United of Wisconsin’s conversion to a for-profit corporation. AHW funds partnerships between academics and community health and non-profit organizations for urban, rural and statewide health improvement projects in Wisconsin through the Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program. The endowment also invests in new and enhanced biomedical and population health research initiatives as well as new education initiatives that contribute to health improvement for the people of Wisconsin.
