Third annual Milwaukee Regional Research Forum planned for Oct. 29

Oct. 08, 2012 College News - The third annual Milwaukee Regional Research Forum and Public Policy Forum Viewpoint Luncheon will be held on Monday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Milwaukee West Hotel. This year’s Viewpoint Luncheon panel discussion topic is, Milwaukee’s Information Technology Infrastructure: Do We Have What It Takes To Compete?

The luncheon also will feature poster presentations of Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin (CTSI)-sponsored research and the presentation of this year’s T. Michael Bolger Awards. The awards recognize individuals or organizations whose contributions and accomplishments have resulted in improved patient care and/or the treatment and curing of disease.

One of this year’s T. Michael Bolger Award recipients is James S. Hyde, PhD, James S. Hyde Professor of Biophysics and Director of the National Biomedical Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) Center. Since 1975, Dr. Hyde has served with distinction on the faculty of the Medical College of Wisconsin. His accomplishments in EPR and fMRI research continue to influence the fields of radiology, neurology, ophthalmology and gastroenterology.
