Vascular Access Symposium planned for May 15
April 23, 2014 College News - The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Department of Surgery is hosting the fourth annual Vascular Access Symposium on Thursday, May 15, in the MCW Alumni Center. The event targets medical professionals who work with end-stage renal disease patients to improve aspects of care related to patients’ dialysis access.
Upon completion of the course, participants should have improved awareness and understanding of early cannulation grafts and the newly FDA-approved VWING Vascular Access Guide, effective new approaches to better relate to and treat ethnic minorities with a focus on the expanding Hmong ESRD population, and the bioethical dilemma of not offering dialysis as a treatment option.
Additional information, including a registration form, agenda, list of speakers and topics, and continuing medical education (CME) opportunities, is available on the Vascular Access Symposium flyer.
