A 42-ton, 7-Tesla magnet was lowered into place in MCW’s Imaging Research Center after being transported from England and across half the nation. The GE Health magnet is part of a $20 million project, funded in part through a $10 million allocation from the State of Wisconsin. Production of the magnet was delayed in part by a worldwide shortage of helium.

July 30 - MCW’s Department of Emergency Medicine has entered into a relationship with the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize and the Belize Ministry of Health in which MCW will provide advanced training in emergency medicine to the hospital’s doctors and nurses. Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital has the largest and busiest emergency department in Belize. The Guardian
July 30 - In an interview with BizTimes, Marquette University’s new President Michael Lovell, PhD, said he wants to build Marquette’s research that generates intellectual property.
