College Geneticists Report on Patient Family Counseling for Incidental Findings

The Huffington Post reports on the American College of Genetics and Genomics plans to develop recommendations on incidental findings in clinical sequencing. MCW geneticists report that preparing a patient’s family for all incidental findings in conjunction with sequencing can take at least 2-3 hours of genetic counseling before testing and several more hours after.
