Continuing Medical Education:  State to Begin Random Audits of CME Credits

Dr. Kenneth Simons (Interim Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education and Accreditation, Ophthalmology and Pathology) provides expert comment in a Fox/Channel 6 report on changes to state oversight of continuing medical education credits. After 30 years without a review, the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services announced it will begin random audits of continuing medical education credits. Dr. Simons serves on the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board.
