The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel profiled a Milwaukee man who donated part of his liver to save his 19-month old son who was in liver failure. Johnny Hong, MD, was the surgeon on the case and was interviewed for the story. Dr. Hong is the director of solid organ transplant program, a collaborative program between Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, the Medical College of Wisconsin and BloodCenter of Wisconsin.

A triathlete, Sarah Kaehny has put the same energy into her treatment, including a clinical trial regionally available only at Froedtert & the Medical College Cancer Center. July 30 - MCW’s Department of Emergency Medicine has entered into a relationship with the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize and the Belize Ministry of Health in which MCW will provide advanced training in emergency medicine to the hospital’s doctors and nurses. Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital has the largest and busiest emergency department in Belize. The Guardian
