Dr. Amos Discusses Effectiveness of Smoke Alarms to Wake Children

Dr. Louella Amos (Pediatrics Pulmonary) provides expert comment to an ABC-TV/Channel 12 follow-up investigative report on the effectiveness of smoke alarms to wake children.  Ten years after the TV station’s first investigation, Channel 12 found that little progress has been made to develop smoke alarms that can effectively wake children.  Dr. Amos said that voice programmed smoke alarms were a bit more effective in waking children.

Dr. Padmanabhan Receives Grant to Study Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia and Thrombosis

Aug. 26 - Dr. Anand Padmanabhan received a one-year, $50,000 grant from the Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute of Southeast Wisconsin to study accurate and timely diagnosis of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia and thrombosis. Wauwatosa Now
