Dr. Gutterman Calls for Additional Research on Possible Risks Related to Beta Blockers

In an article in MedPage Today, Dr. David Gutterman (Senior Associate Dean for Research, Medicine – Cardiology) notes that additional research is needed to confirm a study reported in CHEST that found that the perioperative administration of beta-blockers during non-cardiac surgery may put patients at risk of acute heart problems.
