Dr. Hillard Reports that “Contact High” from Marijuana Smoke is Psychological Phenomenon

In an article in Business Insider, Cecilia Hillard, PhD, (Neuroscience Research Center, Pharmacology and Toxicology) said that a “contact high” from exposure to marijuana  smoke is a psychological phenomenon. She explained that tetrahydrocannabinol, (THC) the active ingredient in marijuana, is trapped in the lungs; little residual THC is present in exhaled air.
