Dr. Kuy Comments on Study on Increase of Thromboembolic Events among IBD Patients

Dr. SreyRam Kuy (Fellow in Surgery – Vascular) provides expert comment on a University of Texas – Houston study that found that thromboembolic events are up 27 percent in the past decade among patients with inflammatory bowel disease.

Study Led by Dr. Beyer to Determine Impact of Urban Park on Health Outcomes

Sept. 16 - A WUWM-FM report on Milwaukee’s Urban Ecology Center cites research being conducted by Kirsten Beyer, PhD to determine how an urban park affects knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, and health outcomes among neighborhood residents. Dr. Hargarten Discusses Advances in Handgun Technology

Sept. 16 - In a report of Wisconsin Public Radio, Dr. Stephen Hargarten discusses promising advances in which a handgun will only fire when the gun owner is wearing a watch that electronically disables a trigger lock. The technology could help address the problem of children being injured by loaded handguns. WPR
