Dr. Lerner Collaborates on Study to Determine When Childhood Injuries Require Trauma Care

E. Brooke Lerner, PhD, (Emergency Medicine) is collaborating with colleagues at the University of Rochester on a $1.5 million grant from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Development to study thousands of child injury scenarios to learn the best practices for treatment at the scene, and what circumstances predict the need of a trauma center.
