Dr. Simons Discusses Value of Medical Examining Board Report

Dr. Kenneth Simons (Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education and Accreditation, Ophthalmology, Pathology), Chairman of the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board, notes that a newly-released report by the board has valuable data that should be used as an educational tool.   The report notes that nearly 62 percent of Wisconsin doctors disciplined for the most common offense in the past decade — incompetent care — were given reprimands, and less than 18 percent had their licenses suspended or revoked.
