Dr. Vithalani Named Judge for 2014 Governor’s Business Plan Contest

Kalpa Vithalani, PhD, (Research – Technology Development) is one of 14 judges for the 2014 Governor’s Business Plan Contest. The contest is designed to encourage entrepreneurs in the seed, startup and early growth stages of high-tech businesses in Wisconsin.

Dr. Campbell Named as MCW’s First Eminent Scholar

Sept. 02 - William B. Campbell, PhD has been named as MCW’s first Eminent Scholar. The Eminent Scholar program recognizes and rewards excellence in academic and scholarly achievement that ordinarily would be funded from an endowed chair. Stem cell patent to benefit MCW research

Aug. 29 - Cellular Dynamics International Inc., a Madison-based biotechnology company, was granted a patent for its stem cell production automation process. Ulrich Broeckel, MD, professor of pediatrics (genetics) and an investigator at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Research Institute, discussed the importance of this patent and how it will help research at MCW.
