GE and National Football League Award Head Health Challenge Grant to Dr. McCrea

Michael McCrea, PhD, (Neurosurgery, Neurology) and MCW were one of 16 entities worldwide to receive a $300,000 Head Health Challenge grant from General Electric and the National Football League. Dr. McCrea and his team will use innovative MRI scanning technology to determine the direct effects of sport-related concussions on brain structure and function.  Up to six of the awardees will win an additional $500,000 award in 2015.
