The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports on 18 students from Milwaukee’s Bradley Tech High School who are at Froedtert gaining exposure to careers in engineering and construction by observing construction of Froedtert’s new $117 million Center for Advanced Care. The high school students also are gaining exposure to careers within the hospital.

Sept. 02 - William B. Campbell, PhD has been named as MCW’s first Eminent Scholar. The Eminent Scholar program recognizes and rewards excellence in academic and scholarly achievement that ordinarily would be funded from an endowed chair. Aug. 29 - Cellular Dynamics International Inc., a Madison-based biotechnology company, was granted a patent for its stem cell production automation process. Ulrich Broeckel, MD, professor of pediatrics (genetics) and an investigator at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Research Institute, discussed the importance of this patent and how it will help research at MCW.
