Dr. Stuart Berger (Pediatrics – Cardiology) tells the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that, “Early detection (of heart disease) saves lives.” The newspaper reports that legislation to require critical newborn heart tests is stalled in state legislative committees. Both MCW and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin support the legislation.
