One in a million triplets celebrate birthday on Father’s Day

Identical triplets born at the Froedtert & Medical College Birth Center, who were then treated in the NICU at Children’s Hospital,  celebrated their first birthday on Father’s Day.  Erika Peterson, MD, assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology and a maternal fetal medicine specialist, was interviewed for a story on WISN-TV.

Triathlete won’t let cancer stop her

Aug. 01 - Fox 6 News profiled a young woman who is battling an aggressive form of sarcoma. A triathlete, Sarah Kaehny has put the same energy into her treatment, including a clinical trial regionally available only at Froedtert & the Medical College Cancer Center. Dr. John Charlson, Sarah’s oncologist, was interviewed in the story. Fox 6 News

Dr. Budde Receives Neilsen Foundation Grant to Study Recovery from Spinal Cord Injury

MCW to Provide Advanced Emergency Medicine Training to Belize Hospital Physicians, Nurses

July 30 - MCW’s Department of Emergency Medicine has entered into a relationship with the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize and the Belize Ministry of Health in which MCW will provide advanced training in emergency medicine to the hospital’s doctors and nurses. Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital has the largest and busiest emergency department in Belize. The Guardian
