Psychiatry Residents Rate Clinical Supervision as Best Way to Assess Core Competency

Resident physicians in Psychiatry rated direct clinical supervision as the most favorable way for faculty supervisors to assess trainee skills in the “core competency” of professionalism and ethics according to study reported in Academic Psychiatry by Dr. Laura Roberts, former MCW Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. MCW was one of seven academic medical centers contributing to the study.
