Psychiatry Residents Rate Clinical Supervision as Best Way to Assess Core Competency

Resident physicians in Psychiatry rated direct clinical supervision as the most favorable way for faculty supervisors to assess trainee skills in the “core competency” of professionalism and ethics according to study reported in Academic Psychiatry by Dr. Laura Roberts, former MCW Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. MCW was one of seven academic medical centers contributing to the study.

Triathlete won’t let cancer stop her

A triathlete, Sarah Kaehny has put the same energy into her treatment, including a clinical trial regionally available only at Froedtert & the Medical College Cancer Center. Dr. Budde Receives Neilsen Foundation Grant to Study Recovery from Spinal Cord Injury

MCW to Provide Advanced Emergency Medicine Training to Belize Hospital Physicians, Nurses

July 30 - MCW’s Department of Emergency Medicine has entered into a relationship with the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize and the Belize Ministry of Health in which MCW will provide advanced training in emergency medicine to the hospital’s doctors and nurses. Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital has the largest and busiest emergency department in Belize. The Guardian
