Khalid Ateyyah, MD, a Saudi Arabian physician doing a fellowship at MCW, conducted a training session with medics at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, in which he explained his experiences in emergency medicine providing care during the Hajj. The Hajj is a five-day ritual that brings together millions of Muslims each year on a pilgrimage to Mecca. Charles Cady, MD, associate professor of emergency medicine, organized the training session.

Ulrich Broeckel, MD, professor of pediatrics (genetics) and an investigator at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Research Institute, discussed the importance of this patent and how it will help research at MCW.
