Beginning September 24, the Community Engagement Key Function of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin (CTSI) launched a series of free Science Cafés for the public at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. The theme of the series is “My Genes, My Proteins, and My Health.” On November 5, Dr. Julie Biller (Medicine – Pulmonary) will discuss new methods to treat cystic fibrosis.

July 22 - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter Mark Johnson won the third-place award in the Best American Newspaper Narrative Contest for “The Course of Their Lives,” a story that followed a group of MCW first-year students through their gross anatomy course.
