Sequencing genes can pinpoint rare illnesses. Might it help with other problems?

A story in the Washington Post profiles the whole genome sequencing program at MCW and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. David Dimmock, MD, pediatric geneticist, was interviewed in the piece, which is excerpted from a longer story in The New Scientist.
