Somna Therapeutics, a local company, has asked the FDA for approval to market the Reza Band, a device that is designed to alleviate nighttime acid reflux symptoms. Reza Shaker, MD, Joseph E. Geenen Professor and Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, designed the device.
