Jun 12 - A well-established fundraiser that allows participants to test-drive the car of their dreams began a new chapter in 2012, the first year that proceeds were donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Cancer Center. The Bergstrom Corporation’s Drive for a Cure raised more than $50,000 for breast cancer research at MCW last year, and the partnership will continue with this summer’s event.

Jun 11 - The Community Engagement Key Function of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin will hold a Science Café at the Milwaukee Public Library’s Central location Tuesday, June 18, from 6-7:30 p.m. The theme of the café is “Breast Cancer Screening and Preventive Health,” and the featured speaker is Alonzo Walker, MD, the Ruth Teske Professor in Surgical Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), and a surgical oncologist practicing at Froedtert Hospital.
