The Medical College of Wisconsin is a secured facility. Doors to the main campus remain secured from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am weekdays and at all times on weekends and holidays. The Todd Wehr Library is open to visitors during library business hours. During evening hours and on weekends, all library visitors must sign in at the Public Safety Center, H1820. Please contact Public Safety for additional visitor access information.
Vendors or individuals who need to deliver items to the College must be directed to the loading dock. The only exception to this is food deliveries (i.e. pizza, sandwiches, etc.) when the department is immediately available to greet the driver.
The Visitor Lot is designated for individuals who are visiting the College. If you have assigned on campus parking you would need to park in that designated parking lot. If you are Faculty or staff who park at Froedtert, Children's, Curative or off-site, the visitor lot would be available on a short term basis.
The Medical College of Wisconsin maintains several parking areas designated for handicapped parking use only. State law requires these spaces be reserved for those with the proper state issued handicapped placard or license plates. The Milwaukee County Sheriff's department regularly patrols the handicap lot. Parking tickets from the Sheriff's department have been issued for those not displaying the proper permit information. Additional handicapped parking have been added to the southwest end of the X70 (employee parking) lot.
Those needing handicapped parking on a temporary basis may apply for a temporary permit through the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
